Conventional travel writing focuses on logistics. How to get there, where to stay, what to eat.

My interest is more subjective. What makes a place resonant? The quality of the light? The smell, the temperature? The clarity of the night air, the brightness of the stars, the events of the past? Is there a way to integrate photography and text to convey the richness of the experience?
