CubicleLand. Perhaps if you looked at this space from overhead, the complex and baffling cul-de-sacs and circles-back would form some intricately pleasing visual image which can only be imagined from within. That would give this company some measure of dignity.

Commute. Energy and hours. There's a roof overhead, but the cost is that you surrender your life to things that are unimportant.

There's nothing unique in this experience. Perhaps only the question is unusual. Why do we agree to live this way?
