Past-lives regression, age eighteen. She died alone, in exile, experiencing overwhelming remorse over the failure of that lifetime. She had no friends near her - she'd turned her back on them?

She was a servant. A governess? Was she English? A caretaker of other peoples' children.

The focus of this life, she said, was to undo that mistake. She vowed everlasting loyalty to the friends she loved. She was never going to live through a moment like that, ever again.

"I wish you well. But there are things I don't want to be reminded of."

Is this why she's taught herself to be so forgetful?
