On camping trips her alcoholic father would drive the family truck fast as it would go around sheer mountain curves, foot on the gas hugging cliff edges, downhill, while mother with baby daughter in her arms sat huddled in the camper sobbing.

Probably she doesn't realize how much like him she grew up to be. That instinct to put loved ones under stress. It's an ugly way to express love. Love and aggression. She does it habitually.

That he was her role model seems obvious from the outside.
