She's so happy though.
I didn't see her with face like this. Typically she had a scowl. Or she looked away, lost in though, as if I weren't there.
It's the visible sign of how much she loved them, how important their emergence into her life had been for her emotional well-being and her sense of belonging.
She should have moved to be closer to them.
Instead she moved to be closer to me... then refused to see me. Either literally, when she turned down invitations. Or figuratively, when she looked away, lost in thought, as if I weren't there.
