I have a cheaper "Garden bungalow" at the Club Bali Hai resort. Normally I'd steer clear of places which label themselves "resorts". But I'm injured, so that it's good to be looked after. I spent yesterday reading Lynne Withey's wonderful Voyages of Discovery under the thatched canopy of the Bali Hai's waterside bar. I'm stunned every morning by the breathtaking physical beauty of this extraordinary place. This is the view across Cook's Bay from my door around 6:30 a.m.
