The day after Judgement Day. Lovely gray-eyed blonde woman with a harp and angel wings bites her lip, chews her fingernails, as the line of Blessed souls moves one by one through the Pearly Gates. Saint Peter is about to welcome her to Paradise when, with a nervous glance, she steps out of line, stands to the side.
Saint Peter, astonished, asks her, "What are you doing?"
"I don't want to go in there," she replies. "I'll just stay out here. Mark may be in there."
Peter, flabbergasted, is about to speak but she cuts him off, saying, "This is fine, really."
And so eternity passes, and she misses it, as she missed much of her life, for all the wrong reasons.
