Refuses to shop at a nearby mall after reading that that particular parking lot has a higher incidence of car theft than others in the county. Instead she drives miles across town.

I asked her, "What's the incidence of theft of 1987 Honda hatchbacks with rusted-through roofs and interiors covered with cigarette burns?"

She just looked puzzled.
