There's candy on the coffee table, in a perfect arrangement in a perfect bowl. But, the kids aren't allowed to touch it.
The house is a minefield for children. Don't leave fingerprints. Don't drop crumbs. Don't move chairs. Change nothing.
Their life is like that. No grass stains on the knees.
I dodged that bullet.
What would I be today if that had been my life?
