I saw his fingers tremble at the ticket counter. Intimidated by the bureaucracy, by an unfamiliar process, by being so far from home, by having to make his way alone through the experience.

A good man, a very good man. Despite his nervousness he soldiers on, taking care of what needs to be taken care of, shouldering the burdens, bringing his lovely bride home across all obstacles, penniless and proud, to begin together the life he hopes to make for her.
