Her adventures began the first summer. Away from school, away from each other, she calls to say she's been having baths with a boy she knew in high school.

I'm not sure today that I understand my response at the time. Didn't seem to care.

Was there ever affection between us?

I remember disliking her at first. Rich girl from Ohio. What do I know about them?
