And I wonder as always whether it was the right decision.
The tangle of trust, hurt, resentment, confusion, misunderstanding, competing objectives. I don't know how all of that could ever have been resolved, made so much more impossible when the relationship itself became untrustworthy.
Depth of feeling after all guarantees nothing.
