You'd expect change in 45 years. Still I'm surprised by the vibrancy and economic vitality of what I remember to be a sleepy block.
What was there? A miniature golf course with pinball machines. That's all I recall.
Now it's sushi and Thai and block after block of huge cantinas with windows open to the sidewalks. No-one in 1968 had heard the word "sushi".
Better now, or worse?
I dunno. Just different. More crowded, more expensive, more young people with money to spend.
