But the town is segregated, by both race and age. White couples with money to spend are in the upscale wine bars, hippies with platinum cards. Their teenage kids are at the coffee corner with change in their pockets. There are Mexicans on the streetcorners; haven't yet seen one in a restaurant. Most likely they're in the kitchens.
