College couple at Taco Bell. Lotus posture on dirty parking lot, amid bubble gum and refuse and urine.
Why not sit at one of the many available benches?
Unclear. To some it looks like self-debasement, the attempt to appear as pitiable as possible while panhandling.
Except, they're not. They're just sitting there, in trash and gum and piss, talking quietly.
