May 22, 2016:
She liked to watch "Soap" but her parents wouldn't let her. She'd come over afternoons to snuggle in my little single bed, watching it with me on my ancient 13" black and white portable. I'd spoon her and it felt comfortable and happy.
We never kissed or groped or even spoke about it.
She was adorable. Quintessential California surfer blonde, all tan lines and dimples.
A couple of years later she found Jesus at San Diego State and that was the end of that.
We talked one day on the porch. I'd found Marx, she'd found The Way, we were both excited in our discoveries and happy for the other.
She felt really, really good. In that little bed, spooned, laughing at her favorite show. Really good.
