She still has her girlishness. She doesn't want to grow up in that sad, trapped kind of way.
Perhaps because she never had her childhood. At age 11 she challenged her abusive alcoholic mother, becoming first the protector and eventually the surrogate parent of her younger siblings.
She's beautiful but doesn't know it. She's kind, she's funny, she sk8ts, she's perfect.
I feel I'm trying too hard.
