April 6, 2017:
Exhausted in the terminal, an hour before boarding.
Seven months ago my enthusiasm for travel was unlimited.
The motion was energizing, the change inspiring.
Now it's winter and I want to hibernate,
somewhere without commotion and most importantly without people.
So that every sound of plastic crumpling and babies screaming and announcements repeating makes me cringe,
and even the beautiful women in line at Peet's seem cold as snow.
