I wonder if she's aware just who he is. What he's done, who he's harmed, how young he was when he began. Rapist, torturer, murderer. Whose rage from childhood abuse turned outward into violence so evil it can hardly be comprehended.
Is she responsible? Somewhere she must know. She failed to protect her children, although she was just a child herself.
Which is almost certainly the exact origin and the specific location of her almost astonishingly aggressive denial.
