June 22, 2021:
My new roommate is Amazonian. A college basketball player with blonde dreads, monster tats, hands bigger than my head. To my surprise she's reading Aristotle. I'm reading Plato, so that if we run out of attention span we'll have things to talk about.
The baby behind us kicks both our seats. We laugh. The seats are made for babies, not basketball players.
That's my hometown, out the window. I'm leaving yet again, but, this time, I'll be back.
