Twenty years ago I stubbornly refused the surgery. I'll be keeping all my internal organs, thank you very much.
Power through the pain, then. Multiple episodes over months, until a radical no-fat diet seemingly cleared the sludge. It was them Häagen-Dazs bars wot dunnit.
Today I'd make the same decision and follow the same diet, but for the 2.5cm polyp identified on ultrasound. With potential cancer on the agenda I'll be a good boy.
Note to the arrogant Doctor Gupta: it's not a fucking tummy ache.
