Bupropion helped. He felt there was a floor below which he wouldn't fall.
He couldn't tolerate the side-effects. Discontinued while hospitalized — cut off cold turkey from the entire cocktail. Whether that or antibiotics he doesn't know, but the two weeks in ICU were followed by restoration of missing memory and recovery from aphasia.
Today there's no floor, but he can speak. Is that a positive or a negative exchange?
