March 13, 2023:
I found her father's grave site.
My thought had been to place her ashes to rest near him. I've felt this would please her; and there's a certain poetry of life events to it.
There's a plot available next to his.
But the cemetery is bleak. Dirt lane, flat, featureless, bare scattered trees. The northern prairie, with its lack of cheer and most of all its terrible winter.
I'm not sure I want her in such as desolate place. Or frankly that he would welcome her company, after rejecting her the first twenty-six years of her life.
Perhaps the photos online are misleading. I'll visit in a few weeks.
